By Air:

Medellín has 2 Airports, the José María Córdova International Airport located 30 minutes from Medellín and the Enrique Olaya Herrera Airport for domestic flights located within the city.

By Land:

Medellín has 2 intermunicipal bus terminals, Terminal del Norte and Terminal del Sur are used by thousands of travelers to leave and arrive from and to all cities and municipalities of Colombia.

How to get around?

In Medellín the streets increase from south to north and the carreras from east to west; the main point of reference is the river that divides the valley crossing it from south to north, with the carreras parallel to the river and the streets perpendicular to it. Its two hills, Nutibara (Pueblito Paisa) and El Volador, in the northern part of the city, are also important points of reference.

Public Transportation: Medellín has an efficient multimodal public transportation system offering services in buses, metro, metrocable (cable car), streetcar and taxis to move around the city and metropolitan area, you must keep in mind the hours of greatest congestion from 7AM to 8AM and from 5PM to 6PM.

Places like the Botanical Garden, the Barefoot Park, Berrío Park, and Provenza street are places you can’t miss.

The same is true of the Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of Antioquia, largely dedicated to the work of the Colombian master Fernando Botero, whose sculptures adorn many areas of the city.
